The show notes:
If you’re lucky enough to land your dream job out of college, why would you ever become an entrepreneur? For Katie Brinkley, it wasn’t a choice. She landed her first dream job, then her second dream job, and then the industry changed forever. Listen as she shares her story and why social audio and Rocky Mountain Marketing have changed the game for her.
Katie’s dream job was to be a post-game sportscaster on one of her favorite radio stations, and she got it. She even had the opportunity to be mentored by the person who inspired her to reach for the position in the first place. It was a dream.
And then Sirius XM happened and the radio industry changed.
Fast forward several years and she became a mom who wanted to spend more time with her children. She’d done a great job with social media for her previous job and was inspired and encouraged to put her skills to use in her own business.
When she first found social audio, she didn’t know what to think of it. With social media, the engagement and relationship building was very passive. She could scroll her feed and make connections in her pajamas, but social audio has completely changed her business.
Her thoughts and advice and her tips and tricks for new entrepreneurs is golden. Listen in to hear all of her amazing knowledge on display. If you haven’t already, go find her on Clubhouse and get connected! You won’t regret it.
